OP11 Meta Report – Week in Review

With OP11 fully integrated into competitive play, the meta continues to take shape as players refine their lists and tech for the top threats. While Blue/Purple Luffy remains the deck to beat, several other leaders are closing the gap through innovation, tight piloting, and meta-awareness. This week’s rankings reflect both tournament results and how each deck is adapting to the shifting field. Let’s break it down.

1. Blue/Purple Luffy – The Deck to Beat
Blue/Purple Luffy is still holding the top spot. It’s consistent, powerful, and just hard to shut down. The deck’s ability to build a strong hand while controlling the board makes it a nightmare for slower decks. Even with everyone gunning for it, it keeps showing up at the top of events.

2. Belo Betty – Speed Meets Power
Belo Betty is proving it’s not just hype. This deck is fast and relentless, forcing opponents to respond early or get run over. Betty has strong matchups into some of the most popular leaders, and players are getting better at building around her weaker points. She’s earned her spot near the top.

3. Green/Purple Luffy – Explosive as Ever
G/P Luffy is still a serious threat. It can snowball leads quickly and end games before the opponent even gets going. While some of its bad matchups are getting more popular, the deck’s power and consistency keep it in the spotlight.

4. Green Bonney – Reliable as Ever
Bonney is still hanging around the top. It doesn’t have the flashiest plays, but it does everything well — good board control, steady pressure, and a deck that rewards solid fundamentals. It’s not going anywhere as long as the format stays balanced.

5. Blue Buggy – Tempo and Control Combined
Buggy continues to carve out a strong niche with its unique mix of tempo plays, and late-game prowess. Its ability to slow down aggressive decks while maintaining pressure of its own makes it a strong choice in the current meta. Pilots who master Buggy’s sequencing are finding real success against some of the top leaders.

6. Blackbeard – Still a Threat
Blackbeard isn’t topping every event, but it’s always lurking. The deck has some really strong matchups and can dominate in the right setting. It’s a little more boom-or-bust than the others above it, but when it hits, it hits hard.

7. Red/Green Smoker – Climbing the Ranks
Smoker is on the rise. It’s flexible, aggressive, and rewards tight play. The deck can shift gears depending on the matchup, which makes it really adaptable in this wide meta. More players are picking it up and finding success — don’t be surprised if it keeps climbing.

8. Red Zoro – Classic Aggro Still Works
Zoro is hanging on thanks to one thing: speed. If you’re not ready to deal with early pressure, Zoro will punish you. It’s straightforward and effective, and in a meta where players are testing slower builds, that’s exactly what makes it dangerous.

9. Purple Luffy – Always in the Fight
Purple Luffy refuses to fall off. The new 8-cost Katakuri gave the deck another strong finisher, and it’s been performing well across the board. Whether it’s going first or second, this deck finds ways to apply pressure and stay in control. Simple, strong, and effective.

10. Yellow Yamato – Slipping Under the Radar
Yamato may not be topping events regularly, but don’t count it out. The starter deck has significantly improved its consistency, giving the deck more reliable plays throughout the game. It has solid matchups against several popular leaders and can sneak wins against players unfamiliar with how to play around its threats. In the right hands — or against the wrong prep — Yamato can steal games and swing events.

Closing Thoughts

This week’s meta highlights how deep and diverse the format has become. While some leaders have established themselves as top-tier threats, there's still room for under-the-radar decks to spike events with smart piloting and the right pairings. With players continuing to adapt and optimize, next week could see some serious shake-ups — especially if newer strategies gain traction or tech options shift the matchups. Stay sharp, and keep testing.
