When I saw one of my heroes being featured, I was trepidatious. (Yes, I made it up.) Could I recommend this to my ironic/obnoxious/knowitall 16 year old (“white”) son? Something to inform him and inspire him, with humor there help him feel the pains and joys of real life? The answer is YES. There was EXCELLENT balance between providing a rational, historical narrative, the gut-wrenching pathos of the absurdities of unequal human experience and treatment, and the erudite wit to get us there at the end, experiencing horror, catharsis, hope and energy. I love this podcast and have followed you all the way, and you’ve all been thoughtful about getting better and better. Thank you so much, and PLEASE don’t stop.
