Yes I really wanted to draw her with lots of colors in the bg as she’s on stage, so I thought this would suit the best ☺️ I saw so many fan art of her with just a white bg I wanted to do something else! Also been practicing this approach more so I hope it looks good 🥺 it’s not really harder, but it does take a little more time because you have to add the lighting first

Your hours of hard work to color Mitsuki come through and she looks awesome, especially for her hair. 🥰 I find it particularly interesting that you decided to go for a backlit situation, albeit with different color lighting, similar to what you did in the Josephine illustration that you did for me. Out of curiosity, do you find the difficulty of an illustration changes based upon how the light source is positioned?
