Added 2021-07-27 09:44:55 +0000 UTCFinished! Ahhh I'm so happy with the recent commissions I've gotten. So many backgrounds to work on, i'm really pleased with the outcome of this piece. It's interesting to see that I still use the same techniques a lot of the time, but those improved so much! Before this I used to improve a lot by just looking for new styles/techniques but around this time I really found my style & continued to improve that.
If you scroll trough my drawings (especially on DA) you can see I tried out new things especially anatomy wise, for example my eyes where a bit smaller all of the sudden last year but I went back to larger eyes in the end. I think that preference was imprinted in my brain when I started watching anime/ reading manga's and I loves Arina Tanemura's style!
Posting this drawing when the commissioner approves, maybe tonight so it's not really that much of an early access... sorry! But a progress gif will come soon, it's a shame recording pieces like this costs sooo much space on my ipad but will record a smaller piece soon if I remind myself of that :)

Thank you! and yes ahh your commission was 100% one of the ones I enjoyed so much! I didn't make a custom brush as these flowers are big so it's not really necessary, I did draw them on a separate canvas. It can get messy so quickly if I drew them in the original file, plus the amount of layers would be waaay to much .. & OMG no not my sharp head shape fase... don't know what happened there and why I didn't noticed it earlier ;; Ah live & learn people.. Also no I can never wait to upload them in my header and i'm always disappointing when they don't fit nicely in the header like your commission unfortunately

Like yourself, I really like the outcome of this commission. It also might help that I rather like the classic summer dress look on cute girls. The sunflowers themselves turned out great and a really love the texture, love, and detail you put into them. Am I correct to assume that you created a custom brush for the flowers similar to what you did for my commission? As I once mentioned to Yenni Vu, I am really fascinated, as a beginner artist, to see directly how an artist's technique evolves and to hear about whose styles have influenced your own style. When I looked through your Deviant art profile previously, I was most struck by not only how the eyes have changed but also the much more angular jawlines and the lack of "M" styled hair highlights of your earlier pieces. Also, I do not know why, but I find it amusing that both you and Kaida both decided to sneak your latest commissioned work into your Twitter banners prior to their official approval. Shhh! LOL I can not blame you; however, both works are gorgeous and I would be excited too, had I made them.
