To say Rusty had a bad childhood would be an understatement. Flyer is an insult? Sounds pretty tame to me. Like calling an Earth Pony a walker. But it shows that this family was pretty racist. Even Rye, who actually threatened Rusty with respect, has a bias against Unicorns and Pegasi. Also Thistle, is surprisingly calm considering that here father recently made the decision to sent her away to live with her uncle. ^^
