He didn't inted to cut her, no. It was a stretch reflex. Shouldn't have blamed her, of course, but it "was" Lu who triggered this automatic reaction.

I'm really beginning to feel for Rusty. Poor, misunderstood Rusty. I had also forgotten that if you lose enough blood, you can get dizzy and nauseous. There's more to say but I'm still digesting this one. This whole Rusty situation. Something has been niggling me about Rusty for a while. I need to re-read this whole thing through. Is Rusty really the terrible pony we've judged him to be? You can't harm others, especially children. But Lullaby was never the target. He panicked, and held a knife to her, as a threatening gesture to get Thistle to cooperate. But it was never his intention to actually cut her. (Right?) It was her sudden movement that caused the cut. Still Rusty's fault, but not his intention. Rusty is bad and troubled, but is he really so terrible? Is he really even a villain? Or just misguided? I don't think he deserves what he is receiving. But i guess that much is already known. I feel for Rusty.

Ouch, nasty... Every time someone goes for the unicorn's horn or pegasus' wing, it sends shivers up my spine... Lulu doesn't look too good. Did the knife pick up some of the poison used on Rust Wing, or is Lulu's pneumonia/whatever getting worse just at the right moment?

She has such a dark side, I love it.
