Strongest in DxD - Chapter 50
Added 2021-10-21 04:55:16 +0000 UTC"And I should assume you used this ability on me and the other servants?" asked Semiramis as she approached.
Ren just chuckled.
"Of course not," he said simply.
"Why should I believe you?" asked Semiramis, smiling.
"You shouldn't, you can only believe me. After all I gave you the option to return to the Throne of Heroes whenever you want, I have no reason for that" said Ren as he approached.
Semiramis and Ren were facing each other while their eyes didn't waver as they looked seriously towards each other.
Semiramis' right hand lifted as she approached Ren's face and her fingers touched the young man's skin lightly.
"It would be so simple to kill you now," said Semiramis as he studied his master.
To his surprise Ren showed no emotion about it, as if he didn't care or fear her threat.
But the threat was not unfounded, with one of his Noble Ghosts it would be simple for Semiramis to kill Ren.
[Sikera Ušum], the second Noble Phantom of Semiramis. Her ghost of certain death as an assassin is the manifestation of her husband's poisoning, the first recorded poisoning murder.
Upon activation, its effects turn the surrounding environment into poison. Not only does it give a "poison" attribute to all its attacks, including the magic ship Semiramis uses, but it can also add poison to even the air and mana of the surrounding area, the atmosphere receiving an environmental property of "poison" .
But to Semiramis' surprise her master only moved closer to her as he looked deeply into Semiramis' eyes.
"Then do it," Ren said calmly causing Semiramis' eyes to widen in surprise.
The smile on the Queen of Assyria's face only increased.
"Aren't you afraid of death, master?" asked Semiramis as one of her fingers firmly touched Ren's skin.
The moment the woman's finger touched Ren's skin, a small vapor arose as Semiramis used her poison to lightly erode Ren's skin.
It was no big deal, it was a small wound the size of a finger, but the acid Semiramis used would make even the greatest of warriors shudder with fear.
But to his surprise Ren showed no reaction, it was as if nothing had happened to him.
Looking into Ren's eyes, the beautiful woman was surprised by what she saw.
Ren's eyes were completely empty, without any trace of emotion. It was as if someone had dug two holes in his skull only to fill them with glass spheres and declare they were eyes instead of something remotely resembling something real. They were totally devoid of life.
For a moment, Semiramis wondered if what was in front of her was a living being, if she was really a person.
"If you want to kill me, you are invited to try Semiramis, and I don't fear death…" said Ren as his eyes looked deeply into the Queen of Assyria's.
Semiramis shivered at the intensity of the gaze as if Ren was looking at her soul, right at her core, as if he knew everything about her, everything she had done and thought during her life.
For a moment, Semiramis shivered and her eyes widened when she saw her master, or more precisely what appeared to be behind him.
Darkness, it was as if the darkness itself was all around Ren, covering her body entirely, it was just how Semiramis could describe it.
It was as if the darkness itself had taken shape, that was all Semiramis could think, and it was all around his master.
"I am the death"
The Queen of Assyria's eyes widened as she felt immense in that absolute darkness that was being generated by her master.
When everything seemed to return to normal the woman faced her perplexity what happened.
Assyria's Knew Queen only smiled when her eyes turned to Ren, she slowly took her hand away from Ren's face as she watched the wound regenerate instantly, leaving no mark.
"You really are an interesting master, it would be a waste to kill you," said Semiramis walking away with a smile.
Ren just smiled at the woman in front of him who was also smiling.
"Although, even if I had the chance, I doubt I could kill you" thought the woman smiling inwardly.
Semiramis didn't know how, but her master had mysterious ways of getting into people's hearts, the Queen of Assyria knew she would never do anything against the human in front of her.
Ren really did have a strange way of connecting with others, during the few days she spent with him Semiramis felt a connection with her master and the same was true for the other servants.
Ren and Semiramis who always talked and studied magic together, with Arturia and her trainings, with Okita and her conversations, and even with Gilgamesh and Jeanne, who now insisted on being called Joan.
Even the cold Immortal Witch usually smiled when she was with Ren, though Semiramis thought it was due to something that happened the day they left together.
"You come?" Ren's voice brought Semiramis out of her thoughts as she watched her master return home.
Smiling the Queen of Assyria quickly followed her master as she watched Ren in front of her.
Semiramis could hardly wait to see what the future would look like.
...
...
A few days later.
It had been a few days since Ren had his conversation with Sona that he took the Sacred Gear from Gasper and also used his [Mangekyou Sharingan Eternal] on Kokabiel.
The days passed normally for Ren and his servants, there was nothing unusual, they always talked, Ren helped them to understand more about this world and also trained together.
Ren had also trained his controller with the Sacred Gear [Aeon Balor] and he had to admit it was a really amazing power, after all he could stop time on a target the user was looking at.
Of course it depended on the strength difference between the user and the target, but for Ren this was not something relevant, after all there were few beings stronger than him.
What Ren had also realized was that the more he used his [Sharingan] and his [Mangekyou Sharingan] the easier it became, as if each use was simpler to activate and use his power.
Ren considered that maybe it was his having the Uchiha Bloodline, or the fact that the [Sharingan] becomes stronger from the user's feelings.
But apart from her training everything was back to normal, for now of course Ren had already explained his plan to his servants who knew they would soon have several battles.
It had also become a common occurrence for Ren to train with his servants to increase their abilities, after all they each had something to teach him.
Ren always trained with Scâthach spear handling, the Immortal Witch always helped her master to correct his smallest mistakes and also improve his mastery over [True Longinus], besides teaching him Rune Magic.
Already with Okita and Arturia it was usually about swordplay, although Ren was more of a spear user due to [True Longinus] he also had a lot of talent with using a sword, mainly due to one of his Longinus; to [Canis Lykaon] be the sword that cuts God.
With Semiramis it was more about using magic, after all Ren helped her with the magic of the DxD world and Semiramis helped him with the magic of her world, and with Joan it was always a training for both of them.
Already with Gilgamesh it had been a little more complicated as Ren had revealed to her that he had the [Gate of Babylon] and she wasn't too happy.
