Strongest in DxD - Chapter 36

As the Spears shot from his back and Ren in front of him, the Immortal Witch made her move.
Ren's eyes widened when he saw the most beautiful display of spear handling in his life.
It was like grace given form and talent personified, in a single movement Scathach leaped letting one spear pass through his legs and the other spear that would pierce his lung was slightly deflected and passed harmlessly through the middle of his arm.
While the last one that was aiming for the head was hit by one of Scathach's spears that spun in midair and swung another of his spears at Ren.
The Sekiryuutei was so absorbed in the beautiful movement that he saw that he almost forgot to defend himself.
Scathach's spear sliced vertical air as he lunged at Ren who brought [True Longinus] to defend himself.
Seeing his master's move Scathach used his other spear to attack in a way Ren couldn't defend.
But at the last moment the holy spear extended its hilt that defended the attack of GodSlayer to his surprise.
Roaring as his power soared, Ren made his Sacred Lance unleash a strong wave of light that forced Scathach to back away.
Scathach quickly positioned himself and prepared to move forward, but she stared perplexed to see Ren with sha spear already pointed at her and in that moment she understood his attack.
"Extend, [True Longinus]"
The Spear of the Setting Sun suddenly had its power boost as its tip shot toward Scathach.
The Immortal Witch seeing this quickly placed her two Gae Bolgs in front and the spears collided generating sparks.
But even so, the Holy Lance didn't stop when Scathach's eyes widened as he saw the spear continued to advance, pushing her along.
The Sacred Lance advanced as it fired and continued to expand for another mile.
One of the Sacred Lance's main capabilities is to enlarge and retract at the whim of its user, although an exact size is not known and [True Longinus] is said to be up to 384,403 km long, basically the distance from Earth to the moon.
The spear continued to expand and widen as Scathach quickly broke free of his blow as he fell to the ground.
Realizing this, Ren quickly raised his spear which pierced the clouds due to its size and bathed it in an intense amount of sacred energy.
Ren swung his spear as it descended, its enormous power ripping through the air as it crashed to the ground releasing an intense amount of sacred energy that utterly annihilated several mountains.
In the midst of the destruction caused by the Holy Lance Scathach came out of the dust cloud while taking a deep breath.
Its body had several cuts scattered, its magical resistance had nullified much of the sacred energy, but not all.
The Immortal Witch had to admit, the Holy Lance was indeed an amazing weapon, even more so with the mastery its master possessed.
A very versatile weapon, but Scathach doubted his master could deflect it if he used his Noble Ghosts.
Little did Scathach know that her master had ways to avoid the curse of the cursed spear and even the Underworld gate.
The Immortal Witch's eyes widened as she saw movement in the dust cloud in front of her.
From the dust cloud emerged Ren with his holy spear in hand and preparing to attack.
In a quick move Scathach drew his two spears and swung them together against Ren creating an "X" shaped gash in his chest.
The Shadowland Queen's eyes widened as she noticed the blood flying from her master's body while her own blood froze as she realized she'd killed him.
However to the Undying Witch's surprise Ren's cut body simply disappeared into a flock of crows that flew away.
"Is this... an illusion" questioned Scathach as he realized what he had fallen into.
Scathach quickly spun and swung his spear toward his back, but the spear was stopped.
The Immortal Witch stopped when she felt a blade press against her neck.
Looking back she saw Ren who with one hand was holding Gae Bolg's hilt, although her hand was bleeding he didn't even seem bothered.
And his sacred spear was positioned in her neck along with several other copies that were positioned in vital parts of the body.
Five copies of [True Longinus] were aimed respectively at his head, heart, kidneys, liver and lungs. The five vital organs for the functioning of the human body.
"Looks like her eyes are more than just ornaments," Scathach said, slightly mesmerized by Ren's crimson eyes that had their tomoes spinning, "Was that an illusion? When?"
"When we met our eyes for the first time I put an induction but it didn't activate, I knew you wouldn't fall for something like that, I only activated it during the smokescreen and you didn't notice in time as you were shocked you 'killed' me " said Ren calmly in an explanation.
Scathach almost laughed, to think that she had momentarily blinded her emotions and allowed her to be defeated.
Ren knew that defeating Scathach in just one spear fight would be difficult, and the Immortal Witch was still holding back.
She didn't release any Noble Ghosts and didn't even use the [Runic Magic] for which she was famous.
Just pure spear skill.
And seeing that Ren wanted to finish this fight quickly he chose the most viable option which was to use her [Sharingan].
The servants watching from afar couldn't help but let surprise show on their faces.
"That was impressive," Semiramis said openly to everyone.
Even though she knew this was a world where the Age of Gods still existed, she didn't think anyone could beat two servants so easily.
Obviously the Knew Queen of Assyria realized that the servants were holding on to their master. But that didn't change anything.
Scathach and Arturia were not simple warriors, they were extraordinary warriors who had their names recorded in history.
The Queen of Shadowland and King Arthur.
And so to be a young human, even if he had a weapon capable of killing a God and defeating them was phenomenal.
"Yes, really remarkable," said Okita as she nodded.
It was really surprising her master's power, although the servant was more interested in her master's power and skill with a sword.
Jalter who watched everything also couldn't help but be impressed by Ren's power, being able to suppress Scathach and Arturia was a remarkable feat.
But what really interested her about her master was something she realized when she looked into his eyes.
When Jalter looked into his master's pale blue eyes she saw something.
An intense and immense fire that burned everything, a goal that he would do anything to complete, that he would burn the heavens and earth to make it a reality.
Jalter recognized that desire, she recognized that feeling because it was the same feeling she felt for France after her death, a single desire...
Revenge.
