Riikira - World on Fire (cover of Stick Figure)
Added 2024-01-27 19:11:11 +0000 UTCPosting this to all tiers despite it being a finished track, to make up for a slight lack of posts while we were on vacay. Also because I don't have any artwork for it and I don't just wanna reuse the World Gone artwork again since this is for the next album.
For those who don't know, the previous Riikira album, World Gone, was the first album I put together working from a template. In short, after I was happy with the sound of the first track made for it (Viscera), every other track was made from a duplicate of that project, so that the guitars, main drums, and bass guitar remained consistent through the album and tied it all together. This also sped up the production process immensely as I didn't have to dial in a sound every single time.
I wanted to do this again for the next one, and so I decided to remake this cover that I actually started back in 2019 (see the WIP post here) but never finished. I'm glad I didn't, because I've learned a lot since then and I'm MUCH happier with this version.
