Star Wars' DOCTOR APHRA

๐Ÿ‘‰ Direct download link / Alternative direct download link < these links will remain active for one week. Afterwards current download links can be found in this post.

Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra. Our favourite Star Wars universe archaeologist/scoundrel that surprisingly few Star Wars fans even know exist! I highly recommend reading the comics where she makes an appearance since they are always fun and entertaining, and she crosses paths with some major Star Wars universe characters, such as Darth Vader.

I decided to make her electro-tattoos sculpted in so they'd be visible even if one doesn't paint the print.

Printing instructions

FDM

No supports should be required if your printer is decent enough at overhangs! I've got to admit, sometimes the mental gymnastics of making a print support free gets a bit much and you start to really push what looks good in terms of how fingers, arms, wrists, etc, are posed ๐Ÿ˜…

Resin

As usual this one comes pre-supported for small (e.g. Elegoo Mars) and medium (e.g. Elegoo Saturn/Anycubic Mono X) sized resin printers. There are Lychee Slicer lite (*.lyt) scene files provided with editable and tagged supports, as well as pre-supported and hollowed STL files. I highly recommend the former because you can make changes in the supports yourself if you think I've been a bit excessive (it happens).

Two bases

There's two bases, a fairly tall one, but also a super short one because the "bust" is pretty tall as it is.

Eyes

Because this is a character with visible eyes, I've included a "cvEyes" version that has unsculpted irises, for those of you who paint!

In Lychee Slicer you can easily replace the versions by selecting the mesh in layout mode, and in the right popup window browse to the cvEyes version file. It should replace the existing file while keeping the supports:

In conclusion

Thank you all for your continued support, everyone :) Three releases this month marks a kind of back-to-form that lessens my constant anxiety of under-delivering, and with my Patreon numbers taking a bit of a dip recently it feels pretty good to being in a place where at least I feel my artistic groove is returning!

Again, thank you for hanging around. It means so much. Take care, and remember to smile, even when you don't feel like it :)
