Peacemaker bust

So here he is: Christopher Smith, better known as Peacemaker, portrayed by John Cena, in my favourite Peacekeeper helmet: The Sonic Boom helmet. I never expected this show to be so good but it hooked me like few shows do. It has so much heart underneath all that goofy and tough exterior, just like the Peacemaker character himself.

The biggest problem I had was grabbing reference shots from the episodes to put into PureRef. Not because I couldn't find any good shots, but because I kept finding myself suddenly watching a full episode of it with a big grin on my face (and sometimes a tear in the eye, because y'know, an eagle hugging a dude...). Some would call that procrastination, and they would be absolutely correct! 😅

Printing instructions

You'll want to add supports around the lower rim of the helmet and in the eye sockets, and if you know your printer doesn't handle overhangs well I would put some under his lower jaw as well.

As usual it comes with two different types of eyes:

Lychee slicer Lite files

In this release I've added some Lychee slicer .lyt files with supports for medium sized resin printers (like the Mono X and Saturn). (I'll also add ones for smaller printers, I just need to test them properly first.) I'm a chronic over-supporter so you might want to go in and remove some, but this worked just fine on my Mono X!

So...

I know it's supposedly considered "bad business" to be political because you supposedly "run the risk of alienating people who give you money", but I think it's important you all know that whenever I read the news these days I always mutter under my breath, "fuck that Putin guy". In the town where I live some Ukranian refugees will be arriving soon, and we'll be doing what we can to make them feel safe and get whatever help they need. It's just heartbreaking that it's necessary. At the nursing home where I work we expected a new nurse to start the other week, but it turns out she's now stuck in Ukraine and we have no real idea how she's doing.

So yeah, fuck Putin and his senseless bullshit war.
