Early on in the development process, Magenta was designed to be the female equivalent of Sozin. Old Magenta was going to be psychotic, feral, and not a futa. But as time rolled on, her role evolved into the "bad boy futa" anti-hero she is today. Her psychotic-feral nature got traded in for a brash, prideful, and sexually self-conscious futa-tomboy.
