Fair enough! In the real world, we have the ISU (International System of Units), where each metric has a standard—mass in kilograms, time in seconds, temperature in Kelvin, and so on. While I could have used those, it felt too troublesome to constantly do all the calculations for consistency with both the story and the physics. So, based on Alonso’s last status screen—where we already had the Siddharth metric for pulse output and a conductivity of 1.0 tied to the first sword they all received—it made more sense to stick with in-universe metrics. That way, I can keep a consistent reference point—without having to do homework every time I want to put a number on something.
