There are so many different ways a reunion or the first private moment in season 3 could go for them. I definitely like the versions where Crowley blocks off any intimacy between them before they've talked about how they parted ways in season 2. Or where they act like nothing happened and they just brush over their trauma until one of them breaks some time later.

But for this little two-part thingy I imagined that Crowley's priority is to catch Aziraphale once he's freed himself from Heaven's grasp. Crowley is going to be there and he's going to be his angel's rock until whatever they'll have to face is over. And once they're safe, he can put himself first and they can have a conversation(or a proper fight, who knows!) about how fucking hurt and angry he is.
And for Aziraphale - in this moment he's just glad to be back. He's too tired to cry(one of u sweet people said on my discord server, about the painting focussing on Crowley, that Crowley is probably crying for both of them here and I think this is very true), he knows how much damage he has done but he also knows that he's gone through A Lot of trauma to finally free himself. There is a lot to unpack but right now he's just enjoying the luxury of holding his beloved and being held in return❤️‍🩹
