Tip: Patterning Methods
Added 2022-04-02 01:49:27 +0000 UTCI often get questions about how I transfer patterns to fur. I have a few tips.
1. if you dont want any sign of marking, then use washable ink and then wash the fur after sewing. I rarely do this, as I dont believe in hiding my patterning. Its just an extra thing.
2. I use a thick sharpie to get the perfect amount of seam allowance for me. This is just enough to work with without it being too much imo.
3.Tick marks are your friend! make many and don't forget to transfer them.
4. I use a craft knife to cut fur. Always switch out the blade so its at its sharpest. It takes practice to get good with the knife but its worth it!!
