I was going to wait to see what we get in case I jinxed it, but between the "it's probably not Mandy" to "although that smile is REALLY familiar" to "and that looks like Valerie's favorite spot and it's implied she and Val knew each other in their younger days" to "AND this picture is called 'Date WIP' and we very well know Mandy dated Dylan"... When the latest Partner WIP was posted, I wondered what happened that made Fuyuki evolve seemingly against her will. One stray thought I had was, "So you just have to touch a stone? And someone could just hyuck a stone at you if they got their hands on one?" Just the thought made my stomach clench, and as tragic as what happened is, I at least felt some relief that it didn't seem to be the case that she'd been forced to evolve. But if Mandy did it and ruined Fuyuki's life that long ago...especially if she meant to use the stone on Valerie to get her out of the way so she could have Dylan all to herself...I would feel ill. Although, I'm trying to add things up in my head and the numbers aren't fully coming together. I don't know if Mandy has a canon age (or if she's a lot older than she lets on and lies about it), but she talks about herself as "a young girl" and Vanessa as "that hag," so I infer that she's about Alex's age if not younger. Their ages haven't been explicitly stated in the comics, but I've heard comments that in the Gammaverse lore, Alex is 10 years younger than Vanessa and Vanessa's 36 as of the comic. Which would put Alex and Mandy around 6 when Fuyuki's accident happened. So if (and as of this moment, just IF) this is around the time Mandy and Dylan were dating...I'm maybe adding things up wrong, but while there is almost no act beneath the Mandy we know, I can't put together the evidence she did it. Unless she was a monster even as a Ralts. But now my dread is building even more.

2025-05-21 10:40:15 +0000 UTCIf this winds up being part of the story and this is Mandy…it’d be really amusing that she was the reason Fuyuki evolved into a Glaceon and almost got Vanessa killed. That would be the extra push needed.
