Assault and battery are still serious crimes, and she needs to be slammed up either in prison or a mental hospital for a long time. I don't think I'd accept any kind of redemption arc from her without one of those two happening, along with her admitting that what she did was wrong and to accept (even if retroactively) the sentence that the law places upon her. Having said that, she's a quite engrossing villainess!
