2025-03-30 17:57:20 +0000 UTCJust for the record - I am a “Mormon” and I think a lot of people here (in the comments, not the gang on the pod) who seem to maybe forget that we are also people with feelings? And I’ll be the first to say Utah is messed up (I live here). But the crazy people are not all of us. And yes there is a cultural… tradition maybe is the word? Of people not questioning things and doing outside research. But the culture there IS shifting - and things aren’t kept secret from us. Of course there are bad people in our history, both distant and very recent history. Just as there are with any group of people. Because none of us, including the leaders of a religion, are perfect. We are human. But most of us are just normal people with a faith in God that we try to live by and do our best to be better people. ALSO nothing they say on the podcast offends and I always laugh about a lot of it. We are weirdos, to be sure. But anyway, NAB is my favorite podcast, largely due to these being God loving people, regardless of if they share all of my beliefs. That’s the one I care about most.

They elevate a blasphemous Book of Mormon above God's inspired Word, the Bible, which they only pay lip-service to. There is nothing Good about Mormonism. I cannot believe I'm listening to christians give them consolation praise. They are destined for Hell like every enemy of Jesus Christ. On the other hand, those who have the Holy Spirit actually grow in grace because GOD the Son, Jesus Christ is IN US, teaching us to will and to work for the Kingdom of God thru His love, Scripture, prayer, and fellowship with other saints. Y'all know more about the latest movie than about the differences between a nonchristian cult and the Faith once given! Aaaaahhhhh.

Even in our small community we lose a student pretty much once a quarter. There are also some really interesting factors to the predominant religion that no one sees or talks about. Would love for you to pop into church with us haha but even just to connect you with some excellent ministries in Utah. Also might be able to connect you with a student that lives next to skin walker ranch 🤘🏽
