NEW CHARACTERS ON THE ARCHIVE

While we patiently wait for the additional chapters (yes, I see your knives, I’m working on it 😭), here’s some behind-the-scenes draft lore on our new cast of gremlins: Project Parfait’s Generation 4.

Think of this less as a polished character profile, and more like the creative version of sticky notes on a corkboard. These are the initial vibes I wanted each of them to bring to the story as foils, chaos agents, emotional mirrors, or just people who crash into Aoi’s life in wildly inconvenient ways.

This is the draft. Things may change. They’re alive now. I can’t control them.

But I wanted to share this with you so you can fall in love with them the same way I am — slowly, chaotically, and with emotional damage.




Amy Faith Baltazar

Age: 28
Pronouns: she/her
Location: Vancouver, Canada
Nationality: Filipino
Languages: English, Filipino, conversational Japanese

• Filipino immigrant living in Vancouver, Canada
• Former student at Simon Fraser University, majoring in Music Technology before dropping out due to burnout and personal reasons
• Former corporate VTuber under a bigger agency, but left after a toxic experience. Joined Project Parfait with help from a senior talent (likely from Gen 1 or 2) she’d befriended early on
• Originally pursued VTubing after seeing a vocal cover of a Japanese VTuber that moved her to tears — sparked a “this is what I want to do” moment
• Exceptionally talented singer with production chops — she mixes and edits her own vocals, plays guitar, and has a strong presence in cover culture
• Gamer on the side, but hilariously bad at PvP shooters. Once got motion sickness in Apex and called it “a spiritual experience”
• Brings responsible eldest-daughter energy to the group. Most likely to make a group spreadsheet.



Julianne “Jules” Johnson

Age: 24
Pronouns: she/her
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Nationality: Nigerian-American (Black American + Nigerian heritage)
Languages: English, understands conversational Yoruba and Nigerian Pidgin

• Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York
• High school graduate from Brooklyn Technical High School, where she spent more time hacking the school Wi-Fi than attending class
• Doesn’t do formal academics well, but is brilliant at what she loves: tech. Tinkers with custom keyboards, mods game consoles, and once rebuilt a gaming PC using thrift store parts
• Introduced to VTubing by her brother, who said: “you talk to your computer all day anyway, why not monetize it?”
• Chronically online and absolutely cracked at competitive games — top percentile on Chess.com, has been Diamond in Valorant, and speedran Elden Ring out of spite
• Loves anything yellow, pandas, and crunchy snacks
• The kind of person who brings 12 USB cables to orientation “just in case”




Benjamin “Basil” Warren Cooper

Age: 27
Pronouns: they/them
Location: Bay Area, California
Nationality: Cuban-American
Languages: English, Spanish (fluent)

• Grew up in the Bay Area, California
• Graduated from UC Berkeley with a BS in Mathematics
• Realized halfway into a data science internship that capitalism wasn’t it, and pivoted hard into freelancing as a digital artist.
• Known for dreamy, emotive illustrations and sometimes haunting character art — think moody palettes, painterly vibes, and hidden symbolism.
• They/them, nonbinary, flamboyant, charming, and always a little too fashionable for a Monday meeting
• Covered in tattoos (many self-designed), physically ripped, and still manages to out-accessorize everyone
• Former Twitch art streamer, known for cozy “lofi and lore” draw-alongs and art storytelling streams
• Casual gamer — especially drawn to emotionally devastating story games like OMORI, Spiritfarer, or Night in the Woods. Has a soft spot for horror
• Does their own nails, usually while watching speedpaint videos or listening to true crime podcasts



Samuel “Sasha” George Martin

Age: 25
Pronouns: he/him
Location: Birmingham, UK → temporarily in San Francisco
Nationality: British
Languages: English, Spanish (fluent), conversational French

• Born and raised in Birmingham, UK
• Dropped out of the University of Birmingham, where he briefly studied Civil Engineering before realizing he cared more about frame rates than finals
• Moved to San Francisco temporarily for the agency contract — says it’s “for the vibes and the Wi-Fi”
• Former gaming YouTuber and streamer with a decent following built on fast-talking rants, PvP montages, and “disaster tutorials”
• Favorite games are anything sweaty: Apex, Overwatch, Rainbow Six, Smash Ultimate — yes, he mains Fox. Yes, he’s proud
• Loud, charming, unapologetically dramatic. Probably late to everything. Somehow makes it work.
