After doing Meddling Fools for me Valery Sazonov offered to do another very reasonably priced commission, and as I'd started work on Streets then, this was an amazing opportunity to get some specific art for it.
I did consider saying this is new art for A Corner of Your Very Own, and then go psyke it was also for Streets when I released that, but the existing art for Corner I like already and is entirely fit for purpose for that Asssignment, and also I really didn't see the point of risking possibly winding people up by doing a bait and switch.
They did an amazing job on this one. This one probably took the most amount of work of any recent commission to get right, possibly even as much as that lamia chariot one, as they had issues with my original idea in terms of making it visually interesting with the perspective, and I think the result of all the different iterations this one went through. Very much appreciate their efforts to make this into a piece that both of were happy with. Love the atmosphere too of it just having rained heavily with the pink light reflections in the puddles.
They were also great about including some refference to previous works that were also set in the City. Can you spot all four of them?
You can find more of their work on their ArtStation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/XJaLa0
This was used for the background art for Streets of No Shame which you can play the first version of now.
