Fortnightly Progress - 2nd September

• No Haven

At last 0.95 is done with all those hotfixes, and has had it's public release to, I hope at least, some general rejoicing. 

Now onto 0.96 and beyond! 

Direction Polling finished with no movement since the last time I posted one of these. The emissary revamp won by two votes which surprised me, as I didn't think that was even in the top five of the most wanted options when I put the poll together. 

The full pitch for that was, '-Emmissary revamp to give more potential results, better reflect who you're sending out to be the pubic face of the encampment, along with making what they can find more interesting.'

• The No Haven Conversion / Picarto Streams

Experimented by doing an earlier stream today. Don't plan to change the usual time for the weekend ones, but I know at least some people definitely want it as the usual time is too late for them so thought I'd try a couple of hours before on some other days.

Was working on the personal options for the player so they're accessable from the UI.

• Commissions

March+April Commission Poll -  Some Enchanted Nightmare: Have not heard back as yet.

May - Bio-Bun : Artist is going to give me confirmation whether or not they're doing it a couple of days. They did like the pitch though so here's hoping.

May+June - Nest of Vipers : Aiming to start properly mid September. Artist did get me a sketch before that, and I definitely like how it's progressing.

May+June - Cutprice Roses : Now fully confirmed. Starting sometime this month.

July - Centaur Outrider : Now fully confirmed, and starting next week.

The one of those 'patron funded, managed by me' I mentioned last time with the real cutie got done. There is a second part that's not done yet, however if you look up one of the previous pieces I got done by Mephiscrypie for a link to their twitter or HF you can get a sneak preview. If you don't mind waiting it shouldn't be much longer as i've seen the sketch for that part, and approved it.

I've also got another of those where I got the final lines today. It's an assignment that has been very high up in the really want to replace with a proper comm ones (mainly as the hand in the placeholder is so odd), and has also seriously struggled no matter what pitch I came up with for it in the polls. So very, very glad and thankful to the patron involved for helping to make that finally happened.

Commission poll finished with Snakes on Wheels + Horned One vs. Wood Elf beating Undercutting the Market + Taggerfolk + Mistress of Torments by just four votes. It was that close that without the higher tier reward polls the Undercut Market & co option woud have won by two votes.

I'll be arranging those two when artists I have in mind for them are free to take them on,

• The Discord

Thanks to a patron's great idea the discord has been properly kicking off in terms of activity to a wonderful degree. There's now a new channel where there's been a bunch of various face off polls being run. Been a lot of fun, generated quality discussion, and even led to me getting to both further nail down some future ideas and also to guage some interest.

So far among others Private Passage won the best Assignment in the game one (I posted the last eight on the twitter if you're interested in what else made it), Drow are the favourite race (Demi-Angels were second), and Chalka Fastwar, Orc Student of the Royal Halls was the favourite lore commentator (Jaina Veykish, Human Northerner Handmaiden was second, interestingly both were on two Uniques each).

One that finished today with suspiciously good time for the Fortnightly (I swear I didn't plan that) was what new race you most want to see added to the game not counting the advanced ones like vampires, dryads, or minoraurs. I came up with 32 options. Some of these ideas were oooooold, like from back when the game was all Marauding assignments, and there's a reason why you've never seen them in all that time, as I couldn't make them work for one reason or another. Others I basically came up with just for this to get up to 32, and one of those ended up winning. Specifically the Northern Neko, who are going to be Neko from the north (bet you didn't see that coming) with a snow leapard theming.

On twitter when I post this fortnightly I'll include the screenshots of how that one went down, so you can see all 32 options, the extra details I added so the people on discord weren't just voting on the names, and how each round went.
