Fortnightly Progress - 7th January

Back to the usual format for these. If you missed last time round where I laid out what I was looking to get done by mid-2021 you can find that post here. 

• No Haven

Been working on what I am very much aiming to be the last of this round of hotfixes so I can do the public release and got on to the next update proper. 

Main highlight involves finishing off the Thornspire which has taken a lot of work and some really finickity issues. Though accentuating the positive it did highlight a backend issue with how character values are assigned which I'm pretty sure has now been successfully squished.

Reckon you should have that it in a couple more days if all goes well. 

• The No Haven Conversion / Picarto Streams

Didn't manage to make the New Year's Eve stream which was sad. Just had to get that promised hotfix out and by the time I did it was 2am so I missed it...

What's not such a downer is that the regular streams are back! Even on track to do the full ten hours this week which I'm much more happy about as that schedule really went off the rails towards the end of last year.

As such work has started again on the conversion. Currently tackling how assignments are selected given that will need to work differently from RAGS.  That some of those conditions were some that were the most messed up in the conversion so that made them an easy choice to tackle first. 

• Commissions

September/October Commission Poll - Bar Fuck: Came out and I rather liked it though it did lose something glorious from the initial sketches. 

Gaze upon the glory of placeholder orc blob! Gaze!!! (Also a look at what could have been the posing of the Trollop and Lago'Mae)

September/October Commission Poll - Custom Orders aka The Horny Pair: Should be done in 1-2 weeks based on an email I got earlier this week. 

November - Asanei Duellist: Should be around mid-January apparently so roughly around the same time as the Horny pair. 

The Veil: Might be cutting it close but you should be seeing them before the end of the Year of the Rat in February. Colours have started in the first of the two parts with the setup and it's already looking wonderfully atmospheric.

Next Murr one:  As some of these are pretty much entirely done I might as well talk about this one I'm getting from them as a bonus. Idea is to knock out a bunch of examines/portraits at once for a certain race for both genders, and to give a hint it will also involve Demi-Angel/Fallen/Succubus versions for a race that doesn't currently have them. 

The poll for November+December finished and it was incredibly close with just two votes being in it for Word in your Ear and Sky-Shaman to prevail. I'll be reaching out for those two when the hotfix is done.

Poll for January started yesterday and so far it looks like it's not going to be nearly as close.  

So far the lamia in the Marshlands is winning easily though there's plenty of time left to go.

• Discord Assignment the 3rd

Yes, it's still a thing despite it rather slipping my mind with everything else going on. Will post the next stage when the hotfix is out.
