Fortnightly Progress - 28th November

Things have been going a lot better over the last week and I'm on track for end of the month for finishing. Maybe a bit later depending on the amount of testing required.
Due to the delay I did bring up one extra bit of patron funded content to also include for this one. Now one of the issues of not being able to focus on everything at once (I wish, hell not even company sized teams can often manage that) it means that some content surges ahead of others. In this case Hypnotic was leagues ahead of Dominator in terms of both effects and usability.
To address this I'm making it so you can try to make use of with anyone even if they're not a bedwarmer or in the pit. Now you'll have options be it using hypnotic triggers, seduction, or the new Elementalist/Magic options to have your wicked way, but the most effective that doesn't need prep work will be via Dominator. I've expanded the Dominator effects already in the game as you break down the poor unfortunate's mind with the chance to strip them of annoying traits like Greedy and Cowardly or making them easier pray to their baser instincts and becoming more Aggressive and the like. Generally there will be two paths based on what the character has already in terms of what form the effects take so if you want to make some weak convent sister into a crazed combat nutter that knows no fear while breaking the pride of a mighty orc warrior to the point where they'll be far easier to deal with then this is the trait for you.
Of course there's still the chance if you go too hard with it of breaking them entirely so they end up wearing a collar in the pit. I figure for some of you though that's not exactly a down side.
- The No Haven Conversion
Down to 794 from 992 conditions last time so again getting closer. Slowing down somewhat for sure as the conditions I need to find get more and more specific. Was one last night with fifteen checks and needing seventy five regular expression replaces for one. Nice to see a solid tracking of the progress though I think.
Work continues on the Wednesday streams.
- Commissions
Okay, so the plan with the Alternative November Commission Poll wasn't as fun as I hoped it would be. Good intentions alas do not always pay off. I thought it might be entertaining to see speculation of what of these four very different characters could possibly have to do with Biomancy along with not making the poll itself irrelevant by having such an obvious pick it results in another landslide, but there really wasn't any meaningful engagement, and in the worst case possible has upset some who have waited too long for more progress in the Biomancy assignment chain. This wasn't going to be finishing that, not even close, and wouldn't at this stage have made any changes to that front. Still I fully get why this didn't really work.
As you can guess from all that the Biomancy chain character which was the human Ice Breaker did not win though came very close to doing so. What I'm going to do is arrange the commission of the winner which was the Dark Elf Fire Elementalist, and I'm also going to see if I can sort out the Ice Breaker as a bonus comm.
Learnt my lesson and going forward I'll try to get such story-line based commissions after the first done as bonus ones when and where as I can afford them. It's tricky and a shame that my main go to's for those are taking a long break or are currently out of contact. With artists who do these you so rarely see that wonderful combination of reliability, speed, quality, and affordability that I had from them. Hell sometimes you don't even get one, so will see what I can do. Trying two new people out currently and one of them I'm hoping might have potential for more bonus ones.
July+August - Deep Mountains Slave Caravan, Watchtower, and Fake Herald of Paradise:
Both Watchtower and Fake Herald of Paradise are done. I might still be getting an update to the harpy. Talked to the artist about it and they're down for making one adjustment I think will really help with the general look of the piece. Not had this yet but will let you know if I do get an update off them.
Slave Caravan after going so long with out contact at last I've heard from! They're finishing off some other pieces but have confirmed they'll be started by the end of next week. Giving the lengthy wait and cost this black orc should hopefully be a real premium piece if all goes to plan.
September - Nymph and Wood Elf: Finished and ready to go for a later update. Really like how this once came out, and given me some great ideas for what I want do with the dryad.
September+October - Encampment: Once the update's done I'll be sitting down and sending them for the full details based on the plan this is going to happen sometime in December.
Bonus Commission: Trying out a new artist I'm hoping to get some more smaller scale bonus pieces from. Aiming now to start next week.

All of these will be at the usual time of 22:30 GMT outside of the odd occasional one where I need to catch up and so start an hour earlier or change the planned day.
Fri 29th Nov (Aiming for this one to start having the outstanding batch of all the new MMDs I'm currently towards the end of the process of reviewing. Got 158 checked already while working on the update with 12 to go)

It's To Hunt a Paladin which is a rare assignment on the Great Plains, you can also use a former Purifier which is from Seduction of the Light and is also from the Great Plains. Thanks for the info and I think I might see the issue there.

I ignored those specific demands to a degree because there wasn't the usual message you get when certain special conditions have to be fulfilled for a "full" success. Well, I guess that means no angel for me, I can fulfil all the requirements except for the former paladin (Where do you reliably get those? It is not through the Gone for a Soldier assignment, I presume). About the "owned" chars, I just enslaved the first owner through the dialogue option and I think I kicked the second through the dialogue option.

If not you get the Obedient very high quality succubus. 2) Will depend. Witch-Queen is once only. Truly Divine is repeatable. 3) Correct, and Defiant is a slave only trait that can't be on slavers. 4) Only that your character can't get it. It is possible for your character to get it from a Deep Mountains assignment. 5) Correct, how did you remove their owners? Will have to check that out

Going further through the game I came up with some further observations and questions (and as always, any information is greatly appreciated): 1. I finally scored a crit on the Truly Devine assignment and I was ... under whelmed to put it positively. Just a succubus as a reward for a super rare quest seems a bit too weak to me, I expected a crit would yield me something special like a demi-angel or a fallen. I mean succubi aren't that common, but they are nothing special either (I have found like a dozen in a single game). It seems like a wasted opportunity to me to have a special event like that for a comparatively mediocre reward (especially since the event is nicely written). 2. I assume that those super rare assignments are single time events (I'm specifically thinking about the Witch Queen assignment). 3. Usually certain traits, like Defiant, get removed during basic obedience training. I assume there is no way to avoid this if you intend to make the respective person into a slaver. 4. Are there any restrictions on your slavers spontaneously getting the Trainer trait during training assignments? 5. Somehow "owned" chars seem to be a bit broken if you remove their "masters". I have two Draki pyromancers and kicked their "masters" because they clogged up my team. However, the Draki still count as "owned" and therefore don't have a reputation and don't get any experience. I guess this is not exactly how it is intended to work.
