This will be used in the next update for well a whole bunch of stuff. Namely Raid High Elven Dwelling, a new portrait to replace the now unfitting High Elf Sentinel, and probably also for some examines too.

There's a couple of ways already. If you have a guard you can assign one to personally watch over her. You can heal either by yourself, or by a slaver, or use the make use of-care option. There's also the head slave role coming next update to help with that.
