Fortnightly Progress - 17th May
Added 2018-05-17 12:15:45 +0000 UTCYes, there will be a section on the new twitter but as it's mainly going to be talking analytics feel free to skip that one.
- No Haven
Feeling much more satisfied with how progress has been going. The missing personalizations for you going on assignments are now entirely done.
The google documents where I saved all the text was around 22k words so while there’s some repeats and adapted existing content there’s a decent chunk of words, words, and more words in there.
That includes sub/dom versions for Gone for a Soldier depending on role to go with Lead Astray and Raid High Elven Dwelling. There's also improvements made to Changing Places to go with the Corruption overhaul.
Speaking of which I'm deep into that right now sorting out the framework so that you can have it used on yourself and try to use it on slavers to go with using it on slaves.
What I'm working on specifically is a mechanic that up to yesterday I was super on the fence about as I wasn't sure how much of a gameplay add it was. Basic idea is you'll be able to get an idea of how the corruption ritual will go based on the six main schools of thought on how corruption may or may not work in this setting. Okay, seven as bimbos have their own take and I really like that exchange enough that it convinced me to go with it.
You don't have to do it every time but it might provide bonuses and give you forewarning of potential dangers, and then of course, it might not.
- Whorelock's Revenge
Next update for Whorelock's Revenge is going well as I'm solidly into testing on stream. Reasonable chance I'd say of it being out next week.
When I was doing the easy mode I noticed that the current encounter rate was bugged to be way out of whack from what was intended so that too will be fixed.
- Commissions
Really good progress from last time round and I wouldn't be surprised if we're completely up to date by the time the next poll goes up which is bloody wonderful.
Hold Back the Dark was released on the patreon earlier today and will be going up on the Tumblr later.
Seen the sketch, and the lined out version of Lead Astray and I really like what the artist is doing with improving the base idea I gave them. Will be surprised if you don't see that one by the end of the month.
- The Twitter
Very much a game of two halves. If we were talking follower numbers I'd be wondering if this was such a good idea.
However unlike certain sites I could mention (*cough* Picarto) Twitter has a solid set of analytics available and the hit rate is equivalent to what I'm seeing on google analytics for the Tumblr which is way more than I expected. No idea how that's happening but really not going to complain so basically I'm chalking this one up as a solid success.
- New Project/HMVs
Not even thinking about until this No Haven update is out and sorted.
- Picarto
Turned out I was worrying over a temporary blip last time as viewer numbers are back to where they were before, and even a fair bit higher on one stream so that's lovely. The post Eurovision one was highly entertaining so thanks for anyone who turned up to enjoy the post event jollininess.
