Weekly update

Hey all!

We're just a few days from 2025 (and the release of book 7 UL1) and I wanted to give you a little update on things taking place and how 2025 looks.

Life in General

I'll start off here first.

This week and next week my mother officially comes to live with us. I've gotten most of the repairs needed to get her room at our house done (last of them should be finished on Wednesday this week). It's been a long thing in the making but I'm glad it will be done. The room my wife and I relocated to isn't completely finished, but end of day, all I need is a bed.

Jan 9th my mother has surgery to remove a 4 inch mass. Won't learn if its cancer until then, but I'm glad we found it as it grew that large in 3 years (since last Cat scan).

Kids go back to school in a week and I'm ready to have my 'life' a little bit more back to normal and hopefully get back to the 120k+ words a month. Not getting above 100k words a month the last 3 has REALLY made me feel like I'm not being productive. I know I am but its just something in my head.

Ultimate Level 1

So book 7 is fully uploaded. The last chapter (409) drops 3/13/25 @ 815am. Starting Jan 1st, a chapter a day will be dropped. March 3rd its 2x a day until the 13th. It ended up being Chapters 330 - 409 and 177k words!

Book 7 will hit Amazon on April 2nd, so I like to know I'll have it finished here before then for all of you.

Starting book 8 next week officially (started a little bit but not as much).

Viking 

Goal is to start back on this story in January. Again part of the reason why I'm wanting to get back up to 120k+ words a month. In order to stay on top of UL1, I need to have that kind of output.

Sorry again for not being able to get to it the last few months but also thanks for waiting patiently on this.

The Girl Who Killed a God - Remake

So, I'm sure you've seen some chapters dropping for this. Goal is finishing up by end of January so we can get this published for my daughter. I deleted all of her original chapters as they are similar and yet different. If you feel spunky you can read the original version on Royal Road and then read what gets dropped here.

I'm working with another author to 'up' my game. Let's just say I've learned a lot in this process and look forward to getting to improve all my stories as I have had this great moment. Other than the fact my daughter's story is a bit darker (ok... its darker than my typical stuff), it has been a blast writing this with her and I'm looking forward to when we eventually start book 2. Feel free to give feedback and ideas on it.

Time loop 

I'm putting in a little work on it as I can. Again, i need to get back onto Viking and if I can get back to the 150k-200k word a month range like I had last Jan/Feb/March, I'll be hitting on this a lot harder.

System Apoc Co-Write.

I've got one of these I'm doing basically the power system, world building, chapter outlining, etc. The other author is doing all the writing (i'm probably 1-2k out of 25k if that). He'll drop this on RR in February, but I have put up a few chapters as beta reading. I may delete / re-upload as a single chapter or two if people want. If you see these chapters drop know this:

It won't appear here on patreon. It's his story, I'm working with him, but I don't get to list here. Was one of the things we talked about when we first started this. He lives in a part of the world where the USD goes a long way and he is trying to help his family through this. So I'm just doing what I can to help out an author I know.

Other Random Stories

Occasionally my brain hijacks me. Sometimes an idea takes over and I have to write a chapter or two before it will let go. I have a folder of 1-3 chapters on a ton of stories that may someday see the light of day when I get through the others i'm currently engaged in.

That said - I'll do a poll down the road for UL1 after book 9.

Know that after book 9 I have 3-6 books in mind for the next part of the series (book 9 is the first 'finish line'). I may take 6 months off after book 9, simply to be able to catch up on a few of the other series I'm currently doing (goblin book 2 anyone?).

After I finish book 9, I'll have to sit down and hammer out the last details on the next part of the saga for Max. I got some fun things listed already but I want the power/rules/system to be done again before I write (like i did with books 1-9).
