Dungeon Gameplay Redesign

Ever since I started making the dungeon + RNG elements I thought it was a great.

But the more I play / think about it, the more repetitive it became.
Everything felt static and even with the RNG aspect, especially since I was planning to add more than 1 dungeon.

I idea of letting the players make their choices was something I definitely want during their dungeon crawl/adventure.

But the constant running to one room to another room cycle got immensely boring, and something about that didn't appeal to me.

There were no traps, no switch puzzles, push puzzles that adds to the dungeon exploration.

So to encorporate all those things and change the way the dungeon is played, I'm currently fixing up the gameplay and hoping it will be fun and somewhat entertaining.

Current goal: Dungeon Craw l+ RNG + Discovery + Player Choices + Simple Puzzles.


Comments

Hopefully there are events that unlock more interactions with certain characters, which either deepens their relationship more or unlock a certain cool skill. Like if you have certain characters in the lineup, a dialogue or like a friend event happens. Whether they're ok with one another or hate one another gives a dialogue in it.

Yeahโ€ฆ It got a little bit boring running from one room to another after a dozen of rounds. But I still enjoyed the demo.๐Ÿ˜‹ I think the auto-battle and the option to fast forward the battle pace compensate for that. Finding and crafting new equipments are pretty satisfying. I do miss the puzzles you made. Hope to see them in the future updates.๐Ÿ˜˜
