It's starting... 👀 (Book 2 spoilers)

Outline, first version (subject to change)

Prologue:

- Begin with a dream, because I am nothing if not consistent xD

- Tentative dream idea: It starts with MC as themself, looking up at the pillar above the city. Can almost hear the forest sounds at the other end, catch snippets of fae in the desert the flow of magic traverses, then ends up back in Leas and hears someone call for them, [redacted].

Chapter One:

- Some time has passed. We pick up in Spring of the following year, it's been roughly 6 months. We open with MC at Viara's quarters with [redacted], and maybe also [redacted]. Preparing to face the Council for the billionth time to answer more questions. This is one of the times where it's just MC they want to talk to.

- [redacted] is gone. Left a note for MC so we know it's not permanent, but it's also not been explained. Possibly left when [redacted] did. Currently is in [redacted] (which MC knows from the note).

- [redacted] are still present. Current status: [redacted]

- On the way out, [redacted]. MC notes this isn't the first time this has happened lately, though they haven't told anyone about it yet (let MC choose why here).

- MC goes in to see the Council, we get an idea of what these "interviews" (read: interrogations) have been like, and get some information about what's been happening during the time-skip:

    - What we're discussing today is the magic, so everything is related to that (also why MC is the only one there)

    - If Virano lived, he's been going through rounds of interrogation and is still in prison. His family is angry he hasn't been given a trial yet, though they're not present to say it today what with having lost their seat on the Council.

    - The captured general(s) continue(s) to work with the Den under house arrest and heavy guard.

    - The Den and Archives are both studying the magic, but all work is taking place at the Archives.

    - MC has been training to strengthen their ability to wield the magic. It's had a positive effect on their sleep.

    - Choice of whether or not to tell the Council that the dreams they have now don't always feel like [redacted].
