Extended Writing Update (Leas + Flashpoint)

I'm pushing my way through prepping chapter 9 for the beta! Given that it's got three separate routes + is a long chapter to begin with, it's taking longer than half the previous chapters combined >_< 

But, I'm on track to clear the first route by the end of today 🎉 I decided to do Wren's first this time. It starts just a little differently from Keo's and Rin's, and my main challenge (in addition to regular revisions) was to figure out how to incorporate the same hint of what's to come at the end of the chapter. 

I came up with something I'm so happy with - half because it's good and half because it's so simple and I'm just, idk, proud of myself for working until I found the best and least invasive solution. Actually writing it is my last goal for tonight ~

I also covered the start of chapter 9, which is shared between all routes (i.e. the portion right before you leave the city). All in all, a good weekend. I'm hoping to get the next two routes done by Friday of next week.

In non-Leas news, I've gotten word that the theme of this year's Halloween Jam will be announced soon! I'm so excited. I've had Flashpoint in my mind for over a year now (maybe two? I can't quite remember when I started imagining it). The concept has changed so much over time, to the point where as I looked over it today I realized I only had about 100 words I'd actually use in my Jam entry.

But ultimately it's for the best. Some of the places I was intending to take the story just weren't going to work out. And this way there's also a lot more room to tailor things to the theme!
