[New Video] The Girl in the Globe

It's done! I made my first ever video attempt at animating a comic.

Now, again, it's not completely animated, there's no way I'd be able to do all of that by myself. But it's created in a way to simulate animation, and I'm quite happy with how it turned out.

A couple of notes before I hand it over.

First off. This is the first time I've ever done anything like this. It's not as perfect as I wish it would be, but I hope that with time and practice it'll improve. Assuming you guys like this sort of thing. This is me testing the waters with it. If it's not well-received, I'll just ditch doing this sort of thing entirely.

And there's a lot I wish I did differently. I wish I did try to get some voiceovers done for it, because I think that'd improve the quality immensely if I could get decent voices. Perhaps something to look into in the future if it doesn't break the bank.

As it stands there are no voices. I did try a crude "sims"-like thing with AI voice modification, but I'm no voice actor and what little emphasis on anything I had was lost to modulation. I wasted a day or two trying to figure that out before I just scrapped it and went with sound effects exclusively. But if this is something you guys like, I'll try to figure out how to get decent enough voices for this sort of thing.

I also went back through and made many extra images to make it more lifelike, and I changed a lot of the dialog from the original comic. I'll likely go back and edit the comic to match the video since I like this dialog better. I'll try not to have to do that in the future.

But with all that said I am super happy with it as my first project like this and I hope you guys really enjoy it. I'm definitely not doing this with every future story, but I will do it on occasion as a treat (again, pending its reception).

Now that I got all that off my chest, here's the video! I hope you really enjoy it. It's been so much fun to piece together and find the right copyright-free sounds for it.

I can't upload it to here directly because it's too big, but I did manage to cut it down to around 16 minutes. The file itself is also in the comic's folder if you need to find it later. If I get a collection of these going, I'll add a videos folder in the future. That'll likely arrive with the second part of this, which I plan on getting into once I finish the epilogue to Witchy Ex-Girlfriend.
