We're back with another chonky update to my ongoing TTRPG-style comic, Fates & Fantasies, where you and a roll of a die determine where the story goes!
This update is a little big, and is likely going to be the only one for the month (but we'll see!). I get to introduce a really fun character, and I hope you all like her.

Black Magic is on the plate next, and I already got a bit of a start to it. I just had to wait for some reworked images before I could throw this one out to you all. So look forward to that early next week. Also, all of my links are being updated for the new month. If you bookmark those things, be sure to update them.

Imho, she seems like the type of person that needs to have their respect earned. Sneaking after her to step in/save her is not likely to earn it; I'd wager. Surely our protagonist should be able to muster some genuine confidence in firebolts? I feel displaying competence in combat will earn us more respect than sneaking. Might or magic; victory in combat is surely the one result that matters to her.

2021-05-11 22:20:47 +0000 UTCThe way I see it, we have 3 options: Convince her to take us with her, follow her and aid her in a fight, or hide at the tavern. She's openly hostile towards us, so without wasting our magic in town, she's not going to have any faith in us, so I say we follow her, and jump in mid-fight to save her life! Either we save her, and she respects us for it, or we're in over our head, so she saves us. It's win-win!
