i do agree jay would’ve made a great leader if he were to have been one, and a lot of people were confused as to why jungwon was at first, considering he’s so young and he didn’t necessarily have any leader roles during I-LAND except once i believe. but the more you watch them the more it makes sense and he honestly was the best pick. during the selection heeseung was originally going to be the leader, but he didn’t want to be the oldest and the leader as he thought it’d be too much power. and jungwon was the next choice and so heeseung asked if he’d be comfortable to take on the role. honeslty when it comes to leaders i never necessarily make comments towards it cause it is most definitely a selfless role, and heeseung has commented how he does feel bad at times for jungwon having to be too mature for his age and the pressure/responsibility it is. but i do agree fully, jay, if he had been picked, would’ve made a great leader, he has such natural qualities for it. but he still helps out as support of course, jungwon and jay are obsessed with one another LOL so even if not being the leader he acts as a pillar of support for jungwon and jay has said he enjoys his current role within the group. but i definitely agree jay deserves more praise for I-LAND cause i would never have the courage for any of that 😪 but it’s a bit funny because in all groups the leader usually is older and the rest of the group look up to them, which they do admire jungwon (of course) but they also adore him, their leading being the one they find cutest in the group. he’s like their child 😭

Honestly, that part where Jay just kept raising his hand over and over is why he's my bias to this day. The character that showed? Incredible. Like he knows what he wants and isn't going to let pride or bitterness or shame stand in his way. That's like next-level resilience there and I was kind of moved by it. Especially given how so many of them were scared to put up their hands to try for anything. Jay repeatedly demonstrates strong character and good sportsmanship and a commitment to the Team above all else through the whole show. I really thought he was going to be the leader. It shouldn't be the main center or the eldest...Jay showed excellent leadership in this series. It should have been him, I think. No offense to Jungwon. I don't know anything about him as a leader...I just think Jay was a natural leader in this series. I don't even stan Enhypen. Like I've listened to their titles and their secondary releases and watched I-Land but that's all I know about them and I LOVE Jay.
