It's just because the guitars are only amplified electronically. If they had rested the guitar against a large wooden table or anything else that amplifies vibrations acoustically, you would have heard them (faintly) in the background as well.

2023-04-05 14:32:13 +0000 UTCI was wondering why one could only hear Frederik's drums and Hansi's voice during the Violent Shadows segment, then I realised we were actually shown the sound in the room, not the one coming over the mixing desk! (Do you still call it a "mixing desk" when it's all digital?) Goes to show what a voice beast (meant in a positive way) Hansi is, that you could still hear him over the drums to some degree. People have talked about how loud Tarja's voice is when you're standing next to her, I imagine standing next to Hansi in the rehearsal room while he is singing would be a similar experience!
