Added 2021-07-31 16:33:48 +0000 UTCSo throughout the comic I made sure to reiterate this idea, or motif, that Sharlene is "the best there is" (in her own words), and in between those statements she has been vying for Marvin's attention to prove it. At long last she has gains a little acknowledgement from him and can't hold back her feelings (and I suppose it helps that Marvin is still alive). I really wanted to make sure this page felt right, so I gave the hug as much space as I could and tried to focus on the gesture and feeling of it.
Strangely enough, I have been looking forward to this moment for a long time. I hope you enjoy it!
