Added 2020-06-30 02:34:06 +0000 UTCSo I was going through the comic, and I realized that the last page seemed a little off, tonally. In truth, I had an extra page planned for this sequence–I wanted to feature a visual call-back to the beginning of the comic–but I had to shorten it in order to get the pacing right for an upcoming double-spread. It never occurred to me that I could just do the call back through Sharlene’s narrative balloons. The writing here may now feel familiar, as she is reiterating what she told us earlier, and setting up the scene that will follow.
Check the pics for before and after changes. Now we understand where her head is at, and it’s a little less threatening towards Marvin. 😆
