Oh and just in case you don't know who this character is, she's from the show Konosuba. She's a wizard who really loves blowing stuff up with her powerful attack magic... but it takes time to charge up those spells! So here she is getting off before releasing a particularly big explosion! The poor fool who has to suffer the consequences...

2017-10-22 23:38:49 +0000 UTCPurple is always rough, as it's one of the colors I straight up can't see. I still try to work with colors I don't do well with, but in this case I used purple on a color dodge layer to illuminate shapes in shadows. I did this to try and associate it with the color of the light source, but it's difficult for me to tell how much is enough. You guys always give good feedback though. Maybe I should make a habit of posting here before I upload on other sites.

I would agree with jirs, the purple is a little overpowering, but at the same time makes sense given the lighting set up. I'm no lighting expert unfortunately, but maybe it's that her hat and the outside of the cloak are too similar in colour to the inside of the cloak? I don't know, could be speaking nonsense :P Still though, I love it, one of the best Megumin pieces of art out there imo.
