Feedback Time!
Added 2016-02-24 01:05:38 +0000 UTCHey guys... just wanted to take a second to gather some feedback and talk about my work. I recently refreshed my profile page, and added some additional milestones to keep this thing moving forward. Once I get close enough to the next milestone, I'm going to start working on comics, in addition to the usual updates (check out my front page for more information). I do have a couple of questions for you regarding my rewards, output, and content though.
Firstly, I've noticed that most of my patrons are supporting at the $2 level (that's great!), but the $5 and $10 levels see a lot of people coming and going, and fewer signing up. Is a PSD a good enough reward for the $5 pledge, and do you guys find them interesting or worth it? How about the $10 pledge? I have fewer patrons there, and eventually some of you will start winning sketch raffles again. Are you willing to stay at that level even if you win a 2nd or 3rd or 4th raffle? Are the steps informative enough, and do you guys check them out? I know first and foremost that the money is about the support, and your support means I can continue creating art – but I want to know if there is anything I could be doing better for you? Maybe some kind of poll for the next illustration? Maybe video recordings? Something else? How about content? Anything you'd like to see more of? Less of? When it comes to creating comics would you guys be interesting in seeing original content (as opposed to parodies of existing series)? Please speak up if you have any thoughts on any of this! Your opinion matters to me.

A post or a repost where you attach an archive file, maybe zip file, where it has all your doodles and stuff up till the post you made; saves us from scrolling .....back......to find lost pictures..... Obviously have two posts(and they don't even need to be a separate post, they could just be as a footer on your main post), coz I know you have one for the higher tiers for high resolution images and the low resolutions for the low tiers...

2016-03-08 21:35:23 +0000 UTCOriginality and creativity are two factors that all artists should have in their work. And I love it so much when it's their own ideas, and no else's. Your art is... it's a blessing. You are one of many artists that make the NSFW community worth supporting tbh. Others tend to steal ideas from other creators, and I platinum hate that. I'm all for originals and parodies (depending on the series). Just do you, erotibot. ♡

2016-02-25 18:28:54 +0000 UTCI've noticed that a lot of the most popular and successful artists here on Patreon offer some sort of user participation as a reward for their higher tier pledges. The opportunity to interact with their favorite artists can be a fun incentive. I think that art lovers who can't afford to commission work from their favorite artists appreciate having the chance to influence the work that those artists are creating, either through raffles or suggestion boxes or polls. Continued success!

2016-02-25 04:47:34 +0000 UTCOffering my art uncensored and free for everyone is sort of a principal that I stand behind. I don't know if it's the best "business" choice or whatever, and maybe it limits the amount of money I can achieve - but the joy of creating and sharing my others - without any barriers - comes first. Before money. Before anything. That said, I believe I can still earn money! So I will continue to listen to everyone for feedback on these things, and always do my best to please you no matter how much you support! Thanks for the advice!

2016-02-25 00:21:26 +0000 UTCEvery pledge counts!! I am grateful to all my $1 and $2 supporters! Thanks for your advice.

2016-02-24 23:32:35 +0000 UTCAh, I see... I think video recordings are something that could definitely happen in the future... perhaps once I'm able to upgrade my equipment. I will probably also experiment with streaming, but that would be a free thing for everyone. I also usually try to post up my sketches or WIPS whenever they are presentable.

2016-02-24 23:26:27 +0000 UTCI am honored! And your opinion is most certainly useful to me. The reason why I do a sketch instead of a full-color pick has mostly to do with the time involved. Perhaps a poll on which character I should draw would be a nice balance...

2016-02-24 23:24:09 +0000 UTCHonestly, for me personally, the most effective way I've noticed for artists to get $10 a month from me, is to offer uncensored NSFW at that pricetag. I know that's not a popular thing with a lot of people, and many artists want to put their stuff out there for free, but if I have to be honest about myself, that's what I've noticed. If you're unwilling to do that though, I think videos could be a potentially good alternative. I really love listening to artists talk about their thoughts and decisions as they work. I don't care about PSDs, so I don't know what to say about'em. I don't pledge based on getting PSDs out not. For the comics, I feel like doing a 50/50 between parodies and your own original content can be a good way to go. I prefer to see an artist's own, original ideas. That said, I know fanart tends to be what gets most artists paid, so I wouldn't rule doing fancomics out too. If you can pull off more comics in the future that are as good as the one you just posted, I think your channel here could really grow. Those pages were hilarious!
2016-02-24 23:19:48 +0000 UTCCool, thanks for the feedback, I will be sure to keep it in mind!

2016-02-24 23:17:14 +0000 UTCI am not in a super awesome place financially, yet like to give a lil' something to all of the artists I really love. That's the main reason why I keep to the lowest pledge level (also, as an European, VATS don't help). That said, what does motivate me to pledge a more significant amount of money to a handful of artists are personalized pledge rewards, like sketches and such, but such pledges become kind of a blurry line between supporting and commissioning, so it's a special case.

2016-02-24 20:34:43 +0000 UTCI'm sure a lot has been mentioned here, but I think video recordings would be a great addition to the higher tiers. If you do sketch pages and such that would also be a neat thing to include. I mean what I do is just release my work in a monthly art pack where everything I did in the month is put in and I split it into the appropriate tiers. Another idea is to just have a suggestion pool where people dump ideas and you can pick and choose which to sketch or whatever. Honestly I would try to simplify or keep things simple on your Patreon as much as possible. Having too many things to keep track off can give you trouble here and there. It's only my two cents but if I come up with anything else I'll be sure to let you know.
2016-02-24 13:39:42 +0000 UTCI'm new to Patreon (you're the first creator I support) so my opinion might not be very useful, but I think that having raffle winners get to choose a full-color pic instead of a sketch might help out. I'd certainly consider upgrading to a higher-tier to have that chance, at least for a little while -I'm not sure I can afford $10 for every update atm. Keep drawing your awesome stuff dude!

2016-02-24 07:33:21 +0000 UTCHmmm... the tutorials aren't posted regularly enough for me to make them a reward, they are more like a free bonus when I have time, or something interesting to make them. But I think I have an idea though.

2016-02-24 06:43:24 +0000 UTCI'm already a $10 supporter (I really like your art style). The only thing I want to say is: When it comes to the comics, I would rather some kind of alternation between original and parodies of existing series. That way we can get a taste of both. Maybe do some kind of poll on them as well. I say pretty much the same for the pictures as well. Other than that, keep up the amazing work! I'll keep supporting for as long as you keep putting out your best effort.

2016-02-24 06:38:56 +0000 UTCNot going to lie, the PSD being the only additional thing I receive for $5 over $2 made me stick with the $2 tier for a while longer than I may have otherwise. I love PSD files, because it allows me to truly pick your brain, and study your methods. If someone was not into studying your techniques, there would be no real reason for them to upgrade. I know you do tutorial from time to time, but if they were a regular thing, and only included in the $5 or $10 tier, it may make those levels more enticing.

2016-02-24 06:30:29 +0000 UTCThanks for all the suggestions. You've given me a couple of ideas... Video recordings are something that I'd like to offer eventually. At the moment, my PC is pretty old and outdated, so I'm not sure it can handle video editing, but this is something I'll look into for the future if people express interest.

2016-02-24 05:47:45 +0000 UTCI think for the rewards, the process steps+notes is a little too high; I'd really like to afford that, but 5 dollars is already pretty big for me, and 10 just isn't something I could afford. However, I think that if you can't think up any more rewards for the 10 dollars pledge, then it's probably good to keep it there for a bit more buffer. I think you're right to shy away from exclusive stuff like extra illustrations, but something I've seen go really well with other Patreon's is being able to see content sooner, and maybe getting to see initial sketches first, before other tiers see it? Otherwise, I REALLY recommend video recordings of you working on the pieces, with the full length video and then also a sped up one to watch it all happen. That's something I'd personally really like to see, and although I can't afford 10 dollars right now, I'd attempt to get to a place I can if I could see those recordings. I would recommend polls about what content your viewers wanna see, but that doesn't mean you HAVE to take all of it into consideration. I just think it might be helpful to understand why we're so interested in your art if you had a poll about different things every now and then. I'm sorry this is so much, and I also might not be right!! I imagine others would agree that you are already really in tune to what we want, and as it is, your content and rewards are still fantastic. If you decide you wanna stay where you're at now, that's totally fine! (PS: it's totally cool for you to take your time with the email! I forget if I replied to that last comment, I've been a little busy, haha;; )
2016-02-24 05:30:40 +0000 UTCYeah, I like this idea a lot... I think something like this could happen in the near future! If other people are into this let me know!
Erotibot
2016-02-24 04:27:29 +0000 UTCHmmm, I'll keep it in mind, but I usually shy away from "exclusive" stuff, at least when it comes to colored pieces and illustrations. But maybe there's something else along those lines I can work on...
Erotibot
2016-02-24 04:26:57 +0000 UTCPolls on characters to draw and perhaps allowing people to suggest characters to be voted on are pretty nice and a great way to get your supporters involved. I like them quite a bit.

2016-02-24 03:03:34 +0000 UTCGotcha. I have a doujin series already half written out that features reoccurring characters in a cool setting. It's an ambitious project with sex, action, and an overarching story line, so I won't be working on that one right away, but it's something that will come down the road, maybe after the first few.
Erotibot
2016-02-24 02:23:51 +0000 UTCAlthough I just like supporting you and your sexy drawing, I think a exclusive illustration one a moth or extra scenes to your normal stuff would help keep the high tier pledges constant. Besides from that I have no other suggestions. Keep on being great!
2016-02-24 02:22:50 +0000 UTCThanks for the feedback!

2016-02-24 02:20:34 +0000 UTC:D I'd prefer it you just did whatever you felt like when it comes to comics. Parodies are fun. So are originals. I love both routes. But if you do some originals, I would kinda like to see some reoccurring characters. Someone that you created that happens to be popular. Sweater girl by DrGraevling comes to mind.
2016-02-24 02:07:31 +0000 UTCI been here only a short time again but from the first time I remember enjoying art process pics so I think business as usual is fine enough :) just keep doing what you love is all that matters As for comics... Personally I prefer parodies but if you're going to be doing comics like the one you did a couple of days ago... I don't think anyone's going to complain :P
2016-02-24 01:36:12 +0000 UTCI do appreciate it! And that's what this is all about in the end, right? Us artists gotta find a way to eat and survive in this crazy world so we can do what we love! I can't properly express my gratitude for that support, so please don't hesitate to voice your opinion should you ever think of anything . Even if you just have questions or need advice, I am here.

2016-02-24 01:29:55 +0000 UTCI'm actually not super interested in rewards in general, I just like supporting your art.
