Got these little mannequins for xmas, and I used them to draw the previous two pics i've posted. Here you can see how the process kinda went, from crappy cell phone pic of the posed mannequins I made, to completed sketch

Seriously, this is a genius approche. I always wondered how you guys got the 3d aspect to your drawings. I'm guessing that's a purpose built item for this particular kind of art? Not something you just threw together and said 'that'll wok'. But something that's an actual tool of sorts? (forgive my ignorance to this side of the artwork process)
