Before I did my more detailed pic of her I was messing around with this one, but decided not to go further with it. Felt the pose and angle were too bland and I could do better if I took my time, and this design was a bit more niche because she only had it in one of her manga one-shots before they really settled on the final versions (like the old proto Naruto/Death Note one-shots, or Yugioh chapter 0). You can see a lot of the final elements were already in place, but they changed the outfit and hair a bit. She's more of a gremlin-y chaotic fail girl than this seems to show, which I think is why they sort of borrowed from this one to design her more responsible/strict sister. Her name was also different back then, and honestly I think I preferred it. Anyway I do still like this version of her but I figured I want people to recognize her etc, and everyone else who drew her did seem to stick to her more canon design so I guess I was right
