The discovery part is my fault, I fixed some of the discovery code that would never trigger or trigger improperly and in doing so I increased the chance that the working discoveries triggered. As it is now, if the MC starts male and grows breasts, more people will notice and if the MC starts female and breasts increase 2 cup sizes they will get noticed. You should infest Clare and Steve before increasing your breast size. Starting a game as male then using the escape pod as female will trigger discovery. I am currently rewriting the discovery sections so they are not a 100% fail.
