And finished just before Series 3 started... so I don't think when they filmed this finale, they really knew for sure how Jack would tie in to DW Series 3. It makes it seem like the TARDIS materialized in the Hub in this episode, everything was blown about etc, but as we see in Utopia, it materialized above and out in the open
