2024-12-30 20:46:19 +0000 UTCJay, I was at the 1000th, and hearing you go off about Trump was honesty a surprise and EXTREMELY cathartic for me. I hadn’t previously listened to livestreams to see yall really let down your hair (I have started listening to them now!) so it meant so much to me to have it confirmed at that show that you and Steve really do have the same values, feel the same pain as me..(not that I was unsure whether Trump disgusts you two, but it’s still nice to really see this isn’t something that is rolling off your backs) Steve may be more reserved in showing that and you may feel you are more emotional, but I personally have a hard time relating to people who would never at all get emotional about what is happening - it HURTS to see others hurt, and to worry about our world. I loved seeing you and Steve being open and honest, and did not find you overly emotional, only appropriately emotional, and it meant a LOT to me.

I don’t remember hearing it… but I did have the pleasure of watching Jay’s election meltdown and have to say I really valued it in real-time. I volunteered in Get Out the Vote actions and in helping spread information about Arizona’s candidates for state House and Senate as well as our judges (some of whom are awful—outnumbered by those who are not, but they made bad decisions). So I spent the first five days post-election in a deep depression. Couldn’t read the news or listen to my typical SCOTUS and IC podcasts. Instead, I watched the livestream. So for what it’s worth, Jay — I needed your rant.
