Way back in 2010, my old print shop and I were getting ready for another big holiday sale- books, T-shirts, etc. One of the bright ideas was a poster-sized print, and the bright idea for that was a "Charlie's Angels" pose, since the new remake movie had recently come out.
I did up the art, and the print shop guy added an explosion in the background, and "Doc's Angels" movie-poster titling. Wasn't a big fan of the title, but I was assured "those guys will buy anything". We had ten poster-sized prints made on an expensive pearlescent paper that looked almost metallic.
And of course didn't sell a single one. No one, or at least almost no one, hangs up poster-sized 'furry' art.
Years later, as we were setting up for an ill-fated attempt to finally relaunch the books in '17, I shipped the supply to the (relocated) print shop, so he could include them with the launch.
That, as many of you may remember, crashed and burned. (Which is why Book 7 is titled 'Crash and Burn', by the way. :D ) And in the dissolution, I officially revoked the shops' right to reproduce my IP, and ordered any remaining product to be destroyed.
At this point, I've been saving it for the cover of whatever book the recently-ended storyline will be in- I'll add an airball background and swap Sandy's stock-class pump for a tourney marker. :)
Doing this up, by the way, is what gave me the idea for the tourney, and having the ladies have an all-girl team on it.
Thought you'd get a kick out of it.
