2020-05-26 00:15:24 +0000 UTCThis does remind me of an anthropomorphic D&D campaign I played in over a decade ago, where different species could produce hybrid offspring but it was highly, highly frowned upon/not allowed except among the nobility/royals. Nobody wanted to be ruled over by another species for fear of bias, so the nobles began hybridizing so they could claim to be of every species and not have bias against any species they happened to ruled over.

But if it did, it would be the same as the real world- only compatible species could produce offspring. So Sandy and Swampy, and Doc and Cara, could have kids, but Jake and Pirta, and Howie and Cassie couldn't. It kind of has to be that way, else there'd be more hybrids out there- there wouldn't be any 'pure' species left, everybody would be a mix of a hundred different types by now.
