Thought you ladies and gents might like a look at the Diner without all the dialogue covering it up.
I had sketched up a rough view for the strip, of this 50s "rail car" style diner- I'm a sucker for cool old architecture- and started looking up images of the real thing so I could start inking.
And in a nice bit of serendipity, one of the first pics that came up was a nice shot of a 1937 diner, in recently-restored condition, that was almost precisely the same angle and perspective I'd just drawn. :)
I wound up simply tracing it, and coloring it in the original colors- though it was kind of a pity I couldn't reproduce the "chrome" tones- and reworked the surroundings. It's the kind of thing I wish I had more time to really work on the color and shading.
