Artichokes are believed to have been cultivated by humans and did not exist in their current form in the wild. They are thought to have originated in the Mediterranean region and have been cultivated for thousands of years. The modern artichoke (Cynara scolymus) is a domesticated variety derived from a wild ancestor. Over time, through selective breeding and cultivation, humans shaped the artichoke into the vegetable we recognize today. While the artichoke is not directly related to cabbage, both belong to the family of vegetables known as Brassicaceae, which includes cruciferous vegetables. Some of the vegetables that belong to the Brassicaceae family, along with cabbage, include: Brussels Sprouts Broccoli Cauliflower Kale Turnips Radishes Mustard Greens Bok Choy Rutabaga Collard Greens Kohlrabi Watercress

As time goes by, I realize that the best thing to do about climate change or anything else is to promote skeptical thinking. Otherwise, you are constantly fighting the same battle - no matter what the issue.
