Love the video. I also appreciate you not shying away from the politics of the issue, given how relevant they are. I know y’all usually try to stay away from politics (for good reason), but the existential nature of this threat means we have to call out the Republican Party for what it is doing. One small correction: I believe ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ was released in 2006, not the ‘90s, unless there is an earlier version with which I’m not familiar. Al Gore was VP all the way until January 2001, which likely would have precluded such involvement.

It’s nice to be “neutral” and “independent” politically but no significant change can happen without a party infrastructure/large mass of people, especially these days when “bipartisanship” is dead.

life impact is a real issue. A gas generator will emit for 30+ years and a hybrid will be on the road for 10+ years. Whole of life or an LCA needs to be how these technologies are assessed in terms of solving the problem or in some respects is this kicking the can down the road

Great vid. I would like a point out a couple of things. In China renewables are in fact displacing the building of some fossil generators. Yes they are still building coal and gas, but fewer than were originally planned. In the US when it comes to Natural Gas (methane) and hybrid vehicles as a “transition” technology, these things have a life and the analysis suggests that while it looks good as an immediate quick fix, the whole of
