It irks me a bit how you've mixed up the and equated palliative care with end of life care. They are 2 very different things. End of life care is for terminal illness patients with less than 6 months to live. Treatment primarily focuses around a patients comfort, curative options are not pursued. Palliative care is can be any stage of an illness, even right from diagnosis and treatment still include curative options. Hospice is very specifically for end of life care, it is not palliative. These terms are not interchangeable!!!
