James Randi's trip to Russia was one of the first things I saw him in. The other was (fi memory serves) was performing "psychic surgery" on Phil Donahue's show in a very humorous fashion.

I shared Steve's writings on the 8x8 water a day, but it wasn't until this episode I realized there was a connection with the fossil fuel industry propagating single use plastic bottles. Pure fucking evil.

In my experience, melting plastic grocery bags has a very distinctive "zip" sound when it drips. It doesn't sound like the noisy from what I remember.

extended producer responsibility (EPR) is critical to ensuring external cost issues are mitigated because it places the waste solutions on the producers instead of society

I NEVER buy water in plastic bottles. I get it from the tap, and use it to fill soda bottles, where it is stored for emergencies. I have dozens of them. BTW, I think a great way to reduce plastic is to sell soda in reusable bottles that you rinse out after use then bring them in to be filled. Not only would this save plastic, but the soda could be made on site (same equipment as fountain drinks) instead of being shipped long distances.
