To answer your question of what would happen with no death, my answer would be that there would always be new things to learn, and also don't forget that because memories are finite, you can always have experiences that seem new.

Re-animation. I think I have mentioned this before, but it is one thing to be able to repair at a molecular level, even if possible. It is quite another to have the bits and pieces moving, or in mid chemical reaction or etc. It seems to me to be the difference between printing out parts of a car engine (sure, very possible), or even a whole car engine all at once (maybe, but very tricky in the 2nd case) vs printing one out that is actually running and then having it keep on going like a brand new engine for however long.. Oil, water and other fluids along with fuel in mid explosion and all. Yeah, nah.
